The Ministry of Young Politics and the Sport Activities and the Italian Bank Association in collaboration with the Ministry for the Reforms and Innovations in the Public Administration and the Ministry of the University and the Research, have stipulated an agreement protocol ( to be consulted on the site http://www.pogas.it/cms-upload/protocolo-dintesa-abi.pdf ) in order to support the young generations’ growth processes and to establish a rotatory fund, called “Fund for the credit to the young”, with an equipment with Euro 10 million for each of the years 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The initiative called “Believe Them”, allows the university students to have a loan up to the annual maximum of Euro 6.000, for the payment of:
- taxes and contributions ( up to the highest account of Euro 2.000 )
- costs for the participation at the community program Erasmus:
. of 3 months (up to the highest amount of Euro1.500 )
. of 6 months ( up to the highest amount of Euro 3.000 )
. of 12 months ( up to the highest amount of Euro 6.000 )
- enrolment for university post degree masters ( up to the highest amount of Euro 6.000 )
- purchasing of personal portable computer supplied with connectivity Wi-FI 8 up to the highest amount of Euro 1000 )
- costs connected with drawing up lease ( cautionary deposits and costs for the estate intermediation ) from students away from their country ( up to the highest amount of Euro 3.000.
It’s suitable to highlight what happens if a student can’t reimburse a loan. For the peculiarities and the purposes of this initiative it’s important not to change an opportunity into a risk. So, for three months from the maturity of the last possible instalment unpaid, there won’t be other consequences, besides the charge of the interests on arrears.
After a first reminder, the student will have other two months to reimburse the sum.
At the end of these five month period, if he is still defaulting, the institute paying out will activate the guarantee fund set up at the Department for the Youth Policies ; at this point the procedure to make up for the credit will start followed by the defaulter’s registration at the risk central ( insolvent’s register). The registration in the insolvents’ register will give the student the title of “ bad payer”, that is in the future he will have difficulty to obtain other loans or financings.
PRESENTATION OF APPLICATIONS
Students of Telematics Pegaso Univesity entered a Masters of Science, Degree and Masters, aged between 18 and 35 years, whatever their nationality, as long resident in Italy, may submit an application, made on the specific form found at http://www.unipegaso.it/docs/modellodiamoglicredito.pdf and sending it by registered letter, the Università Telematica Pegaso – Segreteria Studenti - Via Vittoria Colonna 14, 80121 Napoli.
The request must be accompanied by the following documents:
copy of identity document
copy book university
Applications will be accepted after verification of the requirements of merit.
