Giusy Lofrano

Giusy Lofrano (PhD) is Associate Professor of General and Applied Hygiene (MEDS-24/B) at Pegaso Telematic University. She was lecturer at University of Salerno, Padua, Naples, Rome and Sannio focusing on hygiene and public health, environmental impact assessment, and wastewater treatment. Up to 2024, she was researcher at University of Rome Foro Italico (MEDS-24/B). She was invited at Aegean University (Mytilini, Greece), Namik Kemal University (Tekirdag, Turkey), and Université de Lorraine (LIEC-CNRS, Metz, France). Her main research topic is about environmental hygiene, especially on compounds of emerging concern coupled to their removal processes. She is enrolled in several editorial boards of scientific international journals. She was editor of three books with Springer Verlag. She acts as peer-reviewer and evaluator for research projects at national and international level. She (co-)authored more than 100 publications.
