Marco Tamborini è Professore Associato di Storia e Filosofia della Scienza e della Tecnologia presso l’Università Pegaso. In precedenza è stato Privatdozent e Principal Investigator alla Technische Universität Darmstadt, dove ha diretto un progetto finanziato (300 000 €) dalla Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). Ha conseguito l’Habilitation in Filosofia presso la TU Darmstadt e il dottorato in Filosofia alla Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, dopo un periodo di ricerca al Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. Possiede inoltre l’Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale italiana per professore ordinario in Filosofia e Storia della scienza.
È membro della Junge Akademie dell’Accademia delle Scienze e della Letteratura di Mainz, fellow della Johanna Quandt Young Academy. Ha ricoperto incarichi di visiting scholar, visiting professor e substitute full professor presso diverse istituzioni internazionali, tra cui l’Università di Cambridge (Clare Hall), l’Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg(W3), l’Università di Regensburg, l’Università di Torino, l’École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), BTU Cottbus. I suoi lavori sono stati riconosciuti con premi internazionali, tra cui l’Everett Mendelsohn Prize e l’Athene Prize for Excellence in Teaching. É co-editor-in-chief della serie History and Philosophy of Technoscience (Routledge)

Short bio
Marco Tamborini is Associate Professor of History and Philosophy of Science and Technology at Università Pegaso. Previously, he served as Privatdozent and Principal Investigator at the Technical University of Darmstadt, where he led a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
He received his Habilitation in Philosophy from TU Darmstadt and his PhD in Philosophy from Heidelberg University, following research appointments at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. He has held visiting and full professorship appointments at leading international institutions, including the University of Cambridge (Clare Hall), Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (W3 substitute full professor), the University of Regensburg, the University of Turin, and EPFL Lausanne. His work has received international recognition, including the Everett Mendelsohn Prize and the Athene Prize for Excellence in Teaching.
