I am a researcher and lecturer in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Educational Technologies, and Intelligent Systems. I hold a PhD in Big Data and Artificial Intelligence from Università Mercatorum and currently serve as Chief Technology Officer at Dyslexia S.r.l. while teaching Computer Science courses at the university level.
My research focuses on Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED), Large Language Models, intelligent tutoring systems, learning analytics, automated assessment, and inclusive technologies for students with learning disabilities. I am particularly interested in how AI can support adaptive, personalized, and reflective learning experiences while promoting accessibility and educational effectiveness.
My scientific work spans educational AI, generative AI, neuroeducation, EEG-based cognitive assessment, intelligent networking, and technology-enhanced learning. Recent research activities include AI-powered learning assistants, automated evaluation of open-ended responses, conversational agents for education, and machine learning approaches for cognitive and educational assessment.
Alongside my academic career, I have more than twenty years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and technology leadership. Over the years, I have led the design and development of large-scale digital platforms, telecommunications services, cloud-based infrastructures, and AI-driven solutions, combining academic research with industrial innovation.
My current interests include generative AI, intelligent educational agents, learning analytics, neuro-symbolic AI, and the development of trustworthy, inclusive, and human-centered AI systems for education.
